400m² | Full Mechanical Preparation | 3-Day Installation | Line Marking & Walkways | 24hr Walk-On
The Challenge
The existing epoxy floor had deteriorated and required full removal before a new system could be installed.
The client required a durable, seamless flooring solution capable of withstanding daily operational traffic while improving the overall appearance and safety of the workspace.
A full mechanical preparation process was required to ensure correct adhesion and long-term performance of the new system.

Mechanical Preparation
All existing coatings were mechanically ground back to a sound substrate.
Surface preparation is the most critical stage of any epoxy installation. The floor was thoroughly prepared to create the correct surface profile, ensuring maximum bond strength for the new resin system.
This process removes contaminants, weak layers, and ensures the new coating performs as designed.

Installation Process
Day 1: Primer and first epoxy coat applied to seal and strengthen the prepared substrate.
Day 2: Second epoxy coat installed to build durability and achieve a uniform, high-quality finish.
Day 3: Pedestrian walkways and safety markings were installed to improve operational flow and workplace safety.

Return to Service
The epoxy resin system was suitable for light foot traffic after 24 hours.
Full operational traffic was permitted after five days, allowing the coating to reach full chemical cure and maximum durability.
The phased installation ensured minimal disruption to site operations.
