Project Overview
Project Type: Food Production Facility (Bakery)
Area Covered: 800+ square metres
System Installed: Fast Cure MMA Quartz Resin
Cure Time: Fully cured in 60 minutes
Delivery Method: Phased installation in live production environment
The Challenge
The existing floor had deteriorated significantly, with large holes in the concrete slab and areas of failing tile. Some sections required structural repair before any new system could be installed.
The facility could not shut down for extended periods due to ongoing production demands. Work had to be carefully phased to allow operations to continue safely.

The Constraints
This was a live food production environment.
Key constraints included:
-
Ongoing production activity during works
-
Coordination with other contractors on site
-
Strict hygiene and safety requirements
-
Requirement for rapid handover of completed areas
Traditional flooring systems would have required days of curing time — making phased return impossible.
The Solution
We first repaired large areas of damaged concrete using a specialist fast cure resin mortar system, fully cured in just 60 minutes.
Areas of old quarry tiles were mechanically prepared and overlaid directly, eliminating the need for costly and disruptive tile removal.
The new red quartz resin system was installed in controlled phases. Once each section was completed, it was handed back to the client within one hour, allowing production to resume while we progressed to the next phase.

The Outcome
-
800m²+ industrial-grade flooring installed
-
Structural floor defects repaired
-
Old tile areas successfully overlaid
-
Seamless, slip-resistant quartz finish
-
Minimal production downtime
-
Phased return-to-service within 60 minutes per section
The finished floor delivered improved hygiene, durability and operational efficiency for the bakery environment.
